I can't believe the last time I posted a blog was the day I delivered Noah! He was born on October 17, 2011 @ 10:56pm. I had to have an emergency C-section due to my toxemia/preeclampsia history. =(
I know that in my previous blog entry I wrote that I "accepted" the fact that if a C-section was necessary, I would have to deal with it. But honestly, it was the most traumatic experience for me!!! I know that there are plenty of moms out there who have had C-sections for all of their childrens' births like it's no big thing. But for someone who has never gone through that before, and wasn't even expecting it..it's an experience that I'm not sure I can go back to. As much as we would love to have another baby someday in the future, I don't think my body and mind could handle going through a C-section again. I'm just not as strong as others may be.
But the good news is that Noah is a healthy baby and that's all that matters in the end. He will be one month old this Thursday! Right now, it's 6am and I can't go back to sleep after an early morning feeding. I downloaded this "baby app" on my phone because I wanted to log in how long Noah has been sleeping, eating, and needs to be changed. He's right ON THE DOT every 1 1/2 to 2 hours!!!! Who needs an alarm clock when you have a screaming baby?!?!!? haha! It's been so long for me since I birthed a child that I forgot how crazy sleep deprivation was. But it's nice to know that in a few months, I'll be able to increase my sleeping hours from 2 hours to 4 to even 5 or 6 hours! WOW!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to that!
We have a photo session for Noah and Isaiah this Friday. I wonder how that's going to turn out. Hopefully Noah will be sleeping happily while we take pictures. He's too young to be awake and smiling on cue so I'm not expecting "open-eye" shots with Noah. But if he's awake, we'll have to make the most of it! For now, I've attached a few pictures of Baby Noah from the hospital and from home.
