I haven't posted anything in a while because I've been so exhausted to even sign on to anything. But I have some energy right now because I took a pretty long nap early today.
Yesterday was Isaiah's 9th birthday! He really is growing up so fast before my eyes. I still watch my old dvd collages of him when he was born, and all those little movie documentaries I made of him month-by-month. I remember everything like it was yesterday, literally. I think that's something only a mother could claim. =)
I'm almost 33 weeks this Monday. I am at that point where I'm pretty much over the whole "pregnant" thing and would like to meet my little one that's been living in me for almost 9 months now. I had a CRAZY cramp on my left calf early this morning and I couldn't stop crying. I still feel it right now at 8:25 in the evening. I don't know which is worse, sciatica or "charlie horses".
Thankfully, San Diego is back to normal with electricity everywhere. The other day (9/8/11), all of San Diego's power went out. It started in Yuma, AZ. I don't know the exact details except for that it was an employee of an electric company who was doing a routine maintenance check and basically he screwed up and what resulted was San Diego got affected by his "routine" maintenance check. At first, when all of the power went out (3:45'ish in the afternoon and got restored completely at around midnight), I couldn't help but think of some kind of "sign" of an apocalypse. It's always automatic to me now to think that way. But then I also thought it could just be our area. When I found out it was happening all over SD, all I could think about was the heat and to make sure to eat and drink. Isaiah's birthday ice cream cake was in the freezer, but I told him he can eat it so it wouldn't melt and go to waste. Yeah, it was a day before his birthday, but I think he would've been more crushed if he saw his birthday cake all melted.
Later that evening, we also found out that all schools in San Diego would be closed the next day due to the power outage. Isaiah had a really BIG smile on his face because it was his birthday. So he got a free day off on his birthday! =)
For Isaiah's birthday the next day, we just had a simple birthday dinner with family. Originally Isaiah's choice was at Chili's, but when we all went there, it was closed due to the spoilage of certain foods, etc. So we went to Isaiah's second choice restaurant which was Red Lobster. I can't believe how much we all pigged out and took advantage of the "All You Can Eat SHRIMP!" LOL
Here are some pictures of Isaiah's birthday on 9/9/11.
